What You Are Agreeing To

You are activating the QBOID application shown on this device (the Parcel App or the Pallet App, the "Application") on a QBOID device. Please read these Software Activation Terms before continuing.

By tapping "I Agree" (or by otherwise activating or using the Application), you agree, on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent, to be bound by:

If your organization has signed a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with QBOID, that MSA and its Exhibits govern your use of the Application and control over any conflict with these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not tap "I Agree" and do not use the Application.

1. License

The Application is licensed, not sold. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, QBOID grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application on the licensed QBOID device for your internal business purposes. All other rights are reserved by QBOID. The full scope, restrictions, term, and fees for the license are set out in the Terms of Service and Exhibit B.

2. License Validation and Connectivity

The Application requires periodic online license validation to keep working:

  • The Application contacts QBOID's license server from time to time (typically on launch, and about once per day when the device has connectivity) to validate and renew its license.
  • Each license is issued with a limited offline grace period, during which the device continues to operate without connectivity. If the device cannot reach the license server before that grace period ends, the Application will stop functioning until it is able to check in again.
  • If your license is cancelled, suspended, expired, or transferred to another device, the Application will stop functioning at or after the next check-in in accordance with Exhibit B.

During a license check-in, the device transmits only the limited technical information needed to validate and renew the license and to support the service, such as the device serial number, the application version, and basic usage information. QBOID does not transmit your dimensioning data (measurements, barcodes, or images) for license validation. How measurement data is handled is described in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

3. Privacy

Your use of the Application is subject to the QBOID Privacy Policy. By default, the Application collects only the operational data needed for dimensioning and licensing functions.

4. Acceptable Use, Warranties, and Liability

Your rights and obligations regarding acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution are set out in the Terms of Service and the applicable Exhibits, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. These Software Activation Terms summarize and supplement those documents; they do not replace them.

5. Changes to These Terms

QBOID may update these Terms as described in the Terms of Service. Material changes are subject to advance notice as provided there. Continued use of the Application after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
